The short version

This is a personal site. I do not sell your information, I do not share it with advertisers, and I do not run ad networks or retargeting pixels here. The only information I collect is basic visit statistics and whatever you choose to type into the contact form.

What gets collected automatically

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. That service places a cookie in your browser and records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. It does not tell me your name. Google acts as the data processor for that information, and their handling is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

If you would rather not be counted, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or install Google's official opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

What gets collected when you contact me

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. That is sent to me so I can reply. If the form fails, your browser falls back to opening your own email program addressed to me, in which case your message never touches this website at all.

I use what you send to respond to you and to keep track of our conversation. I do not add you to a marketing list from this form, and I do not sell or rent it to anyone.

How long it is kept

Analytics data is retained on Google's standard schedule. Messages you send me are kept in my email for as long as they are useful for our correspondence and my business records.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will handle it. If you are in a place with specific privacy rights, such as California or the European Union, those rights apply and this is how you exercise them.

Other sites

This site links out to places like LinkedIn, Twitter, and AutomatedTeams. Once you follow a link off this site, that site's privacy policy governs, not this one.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
